RICHMOND - Tiffanie Truong had 28 digs, 14 kills and three assists, while Angela Swinford added 10 kills to help Patten Academy stave off a late-charging Community Academy to win 25-16, 24-26, 18-25, 25-22, 20-18.

Alexandria Johnson (10 kills) and Rachel Walters (8 kills) also played well for Patten Academy (5-2)

The 4-foot-10 freshman libero has been a big-time player for the Bulldogs, leading them to sole possession of first place in BACAL-East standings.

Last week, Truong had 14 kills, 28 digs, 3 assists and 2 aces in a 25-16, 24-26, 18-25, 20-18 win over the Community Mustangs. Patten Academy came back from a 14-11 deficit in the fifth game to net the victory.

Truong recorded a record 34 digs in a four-game loss to the undefeated Union City Lions.
